Attorney General Eric Holder announced a 31-count indictment against members of the Chinese military for allegedly hacking American businesses.
Time reports, the indictment, handed down by a Pennsylvania grand jury, alleges the hackers stole trade secrets that would have been “particularly beneficial to Chinese companies at the time that they were stolen,” according to Holder.
Companies allegedly hacked include: Alcoa, Allegheny Technologies, the United Steel Workers Union, SolarWorld, U.S. Steel Corp. and Westinghouse.
