Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke on the Senate floor Wednesday against the nomination of David Barron to be a judge for the First Circuit Court.
Senator Paul talked about his concerns with Mr. Barron’s views on drone policy, due process and the right to trial.
In the course of his 30+ minute speech, Rand Paul cited attorneys such as Clarence Darrow and Thurgood Marshall, movies such as To Kill A Mockingbird and Twelve Angry Men, and he went so far as to cite Stephen Colbert as support for his position regarding drones and due process of law.
