An Afghan woman has killed at least 25 Taliban militants and injured 5 in a 7-hour gun battle to avenge the murder of her son.
PressTV reports that the woman, identified as Reza Gul, picked up arms after her son, a local police officer, was “shot dead before her eyes in western Farah province.”
Gul was joined in the gun battle by her daughter and daughter-in-law.
While there is no word so far from the Taliban about the incident, according to PressTV, Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Siddiqui said “the woman’s armed battle was a symbol of a major revolution and public uprising against the Taliban militants.”
