Conservative heads are exploding after Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) called the GOP presidential candidates a bunch of “losers” and compared Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to a “lump of coal” in a Wednesday interview with CNBC’s John Harwood.
Reid also took the time to slam Rush Limbaugh for starting a rumor about Reid’s eye injury on his radio show three weeks ago:
I don’t believe for a minute that whatever happened to Harry Reid has anything to do with an exercise machine unless somebody repeatedly threw him into it. Harry Reid looks like and is acting like — and now with this announcement, behaving like — somebody who may have been beaten up.
Reid told Harwood that:
It shows the credibility of Rush Limbaugh, he’s the guy who got all this started. Why in the world would I come up with a story that I got hurt in my own bathroom with my wife standing there? How could anyone say anything like that?
