Sanders: Clinton ‘Infinitely Better’ On Her Worst Day Than Any Republican On Their Best

Sanders-on-Clinton

Bernie Sanders tells ABC News that on her worst day, Hillary Clinton is a better candidate and would be a better president than any Republican candidate on their best day.

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders told ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos that his opponent, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is a better candidate and would be a better president than any of their Republican counterparts.

Stephanopoulos, the former White House Communications Director for President Bill Clinton, brought up the issue of Sanders’ differences with Clinton during Sunday’s edition of ABC‘s “This Week,” asking the Vermont Senator:

You’ve also started to express your differences with — with Hillary Clinton more and more.

But is it really right for you to tell “The Boston Globe,” quote, “I disagree with Hillary Clinton on virtually everything.”

Don’t your agreements far outweigh your disagreements?

Sanders responded:

Well, there’s — that’s — well, the answer is yes and no. Yes, we do agree on a number of issues. And, by the way, on her worst day, Hillary Clinton will be an infinitely better candidate and president than the Republican candidate on his best day.

Sanders went on to concede that: “having said that, we have very significant differences,” going on to list a few areas where their positions differ – such as their approach to the nation’s “grotesque level of income and wealth inequality.”
