Bernie Sanders Hilariously Trolls Hillary Clinton

Sanders-Polling

Bernie Sanders trolls Hillary Clinton on Facebook about her recent remarks about health care.

It the wake of recent polling it seems that Hillary Clinton may be starting to Feel The Bern.

Clinton is lashing out at Sanders in what appears to be a desperate move. As Salon reports, “After years of the right wing trying one scheme after another to take away Obamacare, it jars the senses to watch Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton accuse her primary rival, Bernie Sanders, of wanting to take away Obamacare.”

Sanders, she now insists, would do so from the left by instituting a program — single-payer healthcare — that would be more progressive than the Affordable Care Act. Yet this possibility is portrayed in the starkest of terms. It’s as if the Clinton campaign saw a house burning down and told the fire department to put it out by setting the house next door on fire to suck up all the oxygen feeding the flames.

Clinton’s attack is based on a single-payer plan proposed by Sanders in 2013 that was shown to save every family hundreds of dollars by a recent PolitiFact analysis.

According to Politifact, “Sanders’ campaign says his Medicare-for-all plan would save the average American family $3,855 to $5,173 in annual health care costs.” However, when weighed against other factors such as co-pays, deductibles and payroll taxes, PolitiFact estimates that “the average family would save $505 to $1,823 a year,” making Sander’s plan a huge success nevertheless.

In response to Clinton’s baseless attack, Sanders took to Facebook and his campaign website, publishing an autographed photograph of him and then First Lady Clinton from 1993:

Hillary Clinton autographed this photo, taken on a flight to a health care forum at Dartmouth College on Dec. 7, 1993, along with a note saying, “To Bernie Sanders, with thanks for your commitment to real health care access for all Americans and best wishes” – Hillary Rodham Clinton, 1993

His Facebook post has been viewed over 70,000 times so far with nearly 30,000 shares and counting.

We checked, but so far there are no comments on the post by Clinton.
