Ha! Even the people at Fox couldn’t resist mocking Palin. It seems that Foxy-friendly-thingy didn’t work out so well, long before she was tossed from the network.
Fox News has traditionally been a safe haven for Sarah Palin providing her with simple questions and a friendly audience. So it was surprising (maybe not so surprising) to find this off-the-air video wherein Palin was being mocked by a Fox panel.
Leaked in 2010, the panelists were caught mocking Palin’s then new television show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska. The show was short-lived airing for only one season comprised of eight episodes.
The two Fox panelists caught on camera, Judith Miller and Liz Trotta, basically giggled in agreement with The New York Times and The Washington Post television critics, both of whom slammed Sarah’s show as being folksy political propaganda.
Alessandra Stanley of The New York Times wrote of the show: “In a way it’s like ‘The Sound of Music’ but without the romance, the Nazis or the music.”
“Who is this woman, this fruit bat in fleece and Gore-Tex, clenching the side of the rock face above a glacier, screaming “Tahhd! Tahhd!” at her husband, piercing the tranquillity of the Alaskan paradise?” wrote The Washington Post, adding “Isn’t this the kind of person whom forest rangers usually despise? The one whose loud command to heed the bears actually startles the bears? The hapless camper whom taxpayers have to rescue at great expense after she loses her Verizon signal and gets hopelessly disoriented?”
You can watch it all, below, in this great leaked video from Fox.
