Trump gets away with murder while the lamestream media focuses its attention on Hillary’s pneumonia.
The media has been focusing all its attention on news related to Hillary Clinton’s pneumonia “after the Democratic nominee appeared to faint at a Sept. 11th memorial ceremony and had to be helped into a van.”
New York Magazine reports that “in a shocking display of human decency,” Trump told Fox & Friends last Monday “I hope she gets well soon,” adding “I don’t know what’s going on … I see what I see. The coughing fit was a week ago, so I assume that was pneumonia also. I mean, I would think it would have been.”
However, Trump got away with a lot of nonsense while the media was looking the other way. Mother Jones reports that Trump appeared on CNBC last Monday and “stunned political pundits by wishing his Democratic rival a speedy recovery.”
“It was quite sad to be honest with you, and I hope she gets well soon,” Trump said, adding “No satisfaction, believe me, whatsoever.”
“Headlines pounced to take note of the rare positive message, largely ignoring the rest of the interview that focused on actual policy,” Mother Jones continued. “Unsurprisingly, that’s when Trump was able to get away with saying the following list of offensive and patently untrue claims:”

For her part, Clinton laughed off the pneumonia controversy on Thursday during her first public appearance since her near-collapse at Sunday’s 9/11 memorial service in New York.
The Telegraph reports that “After encouraging the crowd to ‘fight for our children, fight for our families,’ and ‘make America all that it should be,’ the Democrat presidential candidate left the podium to a cheeky choice of song: James Brown’s I Feel Good, selected as a riposte to those commentators who have raised concerns about her fitness following her recent pneumonia diagnosis.”
Clinton hit one out of the park on Friday when she turned things around on Trump. Speaking at the Black Women’s Agenda Symposium in Washington, D.C. she stated that “I’m thrilled to be with you. I’m thrilled to be associated with you. I’m also thrilled to be back on the campaign trail! As the world knows, I was a little under the weather recently. The good news is: My pneumonia finally got some Republicans interested in women’s health.”
And to top it all off, Mother Jones reported in a separate article posted late Friday night that Hillary’s pneumonia seems to have helped her in the polls.
Around Monday or Tuesday of this week, Hillary Clinton’s favorables went up about four points and Donald Trump’s went down four points. In Clinton’s case, maybe her pneumonia generated some sympathy? In Trump’s case, it’s hard to figure out what might have happened.
