Video captured from White House lawn shows Trump advisor Steve Bannon engaged in a heated argument in the Oval Office.
Press pool cameras located on the White House lawn captured a heated discussion in the Oval Office regarding Attorney General Jeff Session’s recusal from any investigations of the Trump campaign.
The Independent reports that “Trump reportedly went into a ‘ballistic’ rant against his senior staff over Attorney General Jeff Sessions stepping aside from investigations into Russia’s interference in the presidential election.”
Trump “called his inner circle to the Oval Office at the end of last week to talk about this week’s schedule, but the meeting became heated when the topic turned to Mr Sessions,” according to The Independent, with ABC News reporting that a senior White House source told them Trump went “ballistic.”

Sources told ABC News that those attending the meeting included: “chief of staff Reince Priebus, chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon, White House counsel Don McGahn, press secretary Sean Spicer, newly hired communications director Mike Dubke, Trump son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner and his wife, first daughter Ivanka Trump.
According to ABC News, “[Trump] erupted with anger over the latest slew of news reports connecting Russia with the new administration — specifically, the abrupt decision by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign.”
“Priebus and Bannon had planned to join them on the trip, but after Donald Trump’s eruption, those plans changed. One source said both men volunteered to stay behind in Washington, with another source saying the president seemed to concur that they should,” ABC News continued.
CNN reports that Trump’s rage began the evening before – that Trump “was ‘hot’ and exasperated Thursday night after Sessions’ recusal, a source familiar with the situation said, considering it hasty and overkill.”
CNN added that: “When the President returned to the White House Thursday evening from a day trip to Virginia, there were ‘a lot of expletives.’ The source said for more than a week Trump had been lamenting that his senior staff ‘just keep getting in their own way.'”
