Beloved Star Trek actor and activist George Takei mocks Trump after his lame attempt to blame Pres. Obama and AG Sally Yates for Gen. Flynn’s treason.
President Obama warned Trump against hiring Michael Flynn to serve as his National Security Adviser according to three former Obama White House staffers.
The Los Angeles Times reports that: “The warning came during an Oval Office meeting between Obama and Trump after the Republican’s victory. Flynn had been fired by the Obama administration as the head of the military’s intelligence branch.”
Trump ignored that advice, but ended up firing Flynn less than a month after he hired him for “misleading top officials about his contacts with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.”
However, Trump and his administration have been actively attempting to blame Pres. Obama for the Flynn scandal.
As The Atlantic reports, “With former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testifying before a Senate panel Monday afternoon, Trump fired off a pair of tweets Monday morning. In one, he focused on defending his decision to hire his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.”
General Flynn was given the highest security clearance by the Obama Administration – but the Fake News seldom likes talking about that.

In the other tweet, Trump attempted to deflect attention to Yates, tweeting: “Ask Sally Yates, under oath, if she knows how classified information got into the newspapers soon after she explained it to W.H. Counsel.”
Twitter was quick to respond, with Beloved Star Trek Actor and activist George Takei leading the charge with a series of tweets.
Addressing Trump’s efforts to blame Obama, Takei tweeted: “Let me get this straight: Pres. Obama fired Mike Flynn, warned Donald against hiring him, but now Donald blames Obama for his Flynn debacle.”

He later tweeted that “Sally Yates is the kind of woman America needs to lead us.”

Shortly thereafter he retweeted a post by CNBC reporter and New York Times contributor John Harwood who pointed out that Yates was first hired by conservative Republican Bob Barr and served under Republican presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush as well as for Democratic presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

Takei went on to post a couple more tweets regarding Yates, first tweeting that: “Yates warned that Flynn was a blackmail risk, but Trump kept him on til the truth got out. Guess he wanted company in the blackmail dept.”

And then, referring to Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare, he tweeted: “Sally Yates served it so hard to GOP senators that they’ve decided to exclude ‘burns’ from the list of preexisting conditions.”
