Canada Gives Trump The Middle Finger – Again!

It seems that a majority of Canadians are sick and tired of Trump and his never ending shenanigans.

Canada has been a thorn in Trump’s side even before he won lost the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election.

As you might recall, President Obama gave a speech before the Canadian House of Commons in June of 2016 and was met with adulation, standing ovations; and when he was finished, the floor erupted into a chorus of “Four more years! Four more years!

Then, in October 2016, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a surgical strike at the heart of Trump’s campaign without even mentioning the Republican’s name. Not once, not twice, but three times.

Shortly after Trump’s inauguration we published portions of an open letter from a Canadian warning Trump supporters that they were “clueless” as to the kind of man they just put into the White House.

“They aren’t aware of what an incompetent nothing he is. Well – they didn’t want to read the obvious signs over the last 30 years,” he wrote.

Continuing, he warned:

They don’t know about the ridiculous kleptocrats he has surrounded himself with; that he has yet made only 29 nominations for 690 positions the Senate must confirm. That he has fired all US Ambassadors. THERE ARE NOW NO US AMBASSADORS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. That he had to beg yesterday for 50 top security experts from Obama’s (“DISGRACEFULL!”) admin to stay on because he has nobody in place. On one day’s notice he wants them to stay. Sure.

They don’t know that immediately after the swearing-in he took all references to climate change off the government website … and cancelled lower interest rates for low-income home-owners. Within an hour of taking office.

I feel for the uninformed. And I despise his creator, Rupert Murdoch.

In the latest salvo, BuzzFeed reports that “The Trump International Hotel and Tower in Toronto no longer bears the US president’s name after workers took the letters off the building on Tuesday.”

Noting that “This leaves only one Trump Tower in Canada, the 63-stor[e]y Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver, which opened earlier this year,” BuzzFeed reports that Canadians were sick and tired of seeing the Trump name on buildings long before the 2016 election.

According to their report: “A December 2015 poll suggested a majority of Canadians wanted developers to stop using Trump’s name on buildings.”
