“He’s unfit to be human.” Ana Navarro unloads on “shameful nincompoop” Trump’s disgraceful weekend.
CNN commentator Ana Navarro is developing quite a reputation for her public disdain for Trump.
Friday evening, Navarro was “calling bullsh*t,” as Raw Story put it, on Trump’s joke about Russia expelling U.S. diplomats during a panel discussion on CNN, telling the panel:
There’s going to come a time in this country where and it’s not “if” but “when,” there’s going to be a natural disaster or a man-made disaster where we are going to need to hear from our president and we need to believe what he is saying.
If he wants to be funny, he can go to the White House correspondents dinner and try to be funny. If he wants to be funny, go to late-night. But being funny about U.S. diplomats getting expelled from Russia does not pass the smell test, should not be allowed, should not be justified and should not be explained away as a lame attempt at humor by the president of the United States.
Most recently during a Monday appearance on CNN’s “Newsroom” Navarro remarked about Trump’s reaction to the tragedy in Charlottesville, Virginia, this weekend – stating that Trump is not only unfit to be president, he is also “unfit to be human.”
Over the weekend, Navarro took to her Twitter account to address Trump’s response to the tragedy in Charlottesville, Virginia.
During a Monday morning appearance on CNN’s “Newsroom,” Navarro was asked about one of her tweets in particular: “I’ve been embarrassed about having Trump as President, many times. But no time, worse than today. I’m beyond embarrassed. I’m ashamed.”
I've been embarrassed about having Trump as President, many times. But no time, worse than today. I'm beyond embarrassed. I'm ashamed.

Navarro responded:
At a moment when the country so badly needed to hear from the president of the United States about healing and unity and condemning white supremacy and condemning racism and condemning neo-nazis, he was a coward. He didn’t have the spine to behave like a leader of the United States. And I feel that is shameful. I’m glad the Republican leaders are calling him out on it. I’m glad elected leaders in the Republican party are finally, finally stopping looking the other way and confronting the fact he’s not only unfit to be president – in my book, his lack of empathy, his lack of leadership, his lack of courage, he’s unfit to be human.
Continuing, she added:
Look; he had an opportunity. He’s had two days. He’s had more than two days to address this, and he has failed to do so. To do so now under duress because of public perception, because of public pressure thank you, buddy. I really don’t need it. I think it’s spiritual leaders, I think it’s the governors, I think it’s the other elected leaders, I think it’s U.S. citizens, I think it’s regular people who need to step-up. And we need to be the ones that unify and heal ourselves because the president of the United States is a shameful nincompoop incapable of doing it on his own.
