Twitter explodes with hilarity as users react to Trump’s failed presidency. #SignsYoureABadPresident
Trump’s presidency has been characterized by failure and embarrassment since day one. However, as Liberals Unite recently reported, October has been particularly wretched for his cursed regime.
As Business Insider reported on Friday, several leading Republicans have begun to question Trump’s mental health.
Just this week, two Republican Senators, Bob Corker of Tennessee and Jeff Flake of Arizona – have openly questions Trump’s mental state.
In an interview with CNN, Corker… expressed “concerns about [Trump’s] leadership, and just his stability, and the lack of desire to be competent on issues and understand and nothing has changed.”
…
Flake, in his speech on the Senate floor announcing his retirement, criticized Trump for his “mercurial behavior,” which he said was “ahistoric.”
“The notion that one should stay silent as the norms and values that keep America strong are undermined and as the alliances and agreements that ensure the stability of the entire world are routinely threatened by the level of thought that goes into 140 characters — the notion that one should say and do nothing in the face of such mercurial behavior is ahistoric and, I believe, profoundly misguided,” he said.
David Brooks published a lengthy op-ed piece for The New York Times this week reporting that some Republican senators are questioning Trump’s mental health after a Wednesday lunch meeting with Trump to discuss tax reform.
The Republican senators went to the White House and saw a president so repetitive and rambling, some thought he might be suffering from early Alzheimer’s. [emphasis added]
Things have gotten so bad for Trump that The Atlantic published an article in their October edition questioning whether Trump would destroy the presidency itself.
Trump is testing the institution of the presidency unlike any of his 43 predecessors. We have never had a president so ill-informed about the nature of his office, so openly mendacious, so self-destructive, or so brazen in his abusive attacks on the courts, the press, Congress (including members of his own party), and even senior officials within his own administration. Trump is a Frankenstein’s monster of past presidents’ worst attributes: Andrew Jackson’s rage; Millard Fillmore’s bigotry; James Buchanan’s incompetence and spite; Theodore Roosevelt’s self-aggrandizement; Richard Nixon’s paranoia, insecurity, and indifference to law; and Bill Clinton’s lack of self-control and reflexive dishonesty.
Twitter responded this week with the hashtag: #SignsYoureABadPresident and the results are both hilarious and discouraging.
