Trump’s signature hairdo isn’t exactly known for being “stylish.”
Trump’s bizarre hairdo has been the subject of much conjecture for years now, and it seems that even his daughter – Ivanka – has an opinion.
As the New York Post reported: “Trump’s bizarre hairdo is the result of scalp-reduction surgery, careful styling held in place by strong hairspray — and too much cheap dye… Daughter Ivanka Trump often makes fun of her dad’s comb-over to friends and delights in explaining how the crazy coiffure comes together, according to ‘Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.’”
Below is author Michael Wolff’s accounting from “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House:”
She treated her father with some lightness, even irony, and in at least one television interview she made fun of [Trump’s] comb-over. She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an absolutely clean pate — a contained island after scalp-reduction surgery — surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray.
Continuing, Wolff recounts Ivanka’s explanation for the orange hue of his hair:
The color, she would point out to comical effect, was from a product called Just for Men — the longer it was left on, the darker it got. Impatience resulted in Trump’s orange-blond hair color.
The New York Post presented the following video last year with the help of DesignCrowd.com.
