It’s time to make Trump and his allies pay – literally – for supporting his hateful rhetoric and regressive politics.
Turn your purchasing power into a tool for protest – hitting Donald Trump where it hurts the most – in his wallet – with this handy list of companies to avoid and a couple of apps making it easy.
Boycott Trump Phone App
The first method is a new phone app that lets you search over 250 companies and people that are connected to Donald Trump and his wallet.
The app, called “Boycott Trump,” helps people refuse to buy products from Donald Trump and people and companies connected to him.
As the app description notes, “Search through over 250 companies and people to see they’re directly connected to Trump. Make Trump and his allies pay, literally, for their hateful rhetoric and regressive policies. Use consumer action to take a stand for what’s right! We all know how Trump Towers and Trump Steaks are connected to Trump, but did you know Nike, MillerCoors, Johnson & Johnson, Gucci, and many other major companies can all be directly linked to him as well? Find out how!”
Created by the Democratic Coalition Against Trump (DCAT), the app empowers people to “take action against Trump by turning their purchasing power into a tool for protest,” according to Nate Lerner, the executive director of DCAT.
The Always Up-To-Date #GrabYourWallet Boycott Trump List
Business Insider reported in February of this year that marketing consultant named Shannon Coulter started this boycott during the end of Trump’s campaign using the hashtag #GrabYourWallet “to encourage people seeking a way to take concrete action against Donald Trump to boycott companies — large and small — that do business with his family.”
Continuing, Business Insider reported that “the boycott is producing results. Last year, brands such as Nordstrom, Jet.com, and Gilt dropper Ivanka Trump’s fashion line.”
Below is the current list of companies who carry Trump products, have CEOs who have donated to Trump, endorsed Trump, or are Trump-owned, branded or operated businesses from the official Grab Your Wallet’s list.
If you use Chrome, you can download the app here, making it even easier to avoid these companies when shopping online.

Footnotes:
* On 3/12 Ivanka Trump products disappeared from both the Bed Bath & Beyond site as well as that of its subsidiary, Buy Buy Baby. Phone checks conducted after that could not locate any Trump brand products for sale at 20+ brick and mortar locations in various regions of the U.S. Bed Bath & Beyond was temporarily removed from the #GrabYourWallet list, but was re-added when the company made a statement that it does still carry Ivanka Trump items in some brick & mortar locations.
** During the period of 2/6 through 2/10/17 several retailers removed all or most Trump brand items from their websites including Saks OFF FIFTH, Burlington Coat Factory, Sears, Kmart, Jet, HSN, Gilt, ShopStyle, and Belk. HSN and ShopStyle confirmed in statements this was a deliberate choice. HSN made a statement that it is still selling at least one Trump brand product (commemorative currency), so it’s remaining on the list. Belk has stated publicly it will continue to sell Ivanka in brick and mortar locations, so it remains on the list. Burlington Coat Factory has removed all Trump brand goods from its site but has made no public statement about brick and mortar locations, so it remains on the list. Jet has been removed from the boycott list as well as Gilt and ShopStyle. Kmart & Sears publicly stated that they would no longer directly stock & ship Trump brand goods from their websites & no longer sell Trump items in brick and mortar locations. Sears & Kmart do still provide official Trump brand products via 3rd party retailers, so on 2/13 they were moved to the FYI section.
*** On 2/7/17 the New York Times reported on a leaked document revealing that TJ Maxx managers were intructed to get rid of Ivanka Trump signage in the stores and mix Ivanka items in with other merchandise rather than display it separately. The company made an official statement that it continues to sell the merchandise, so it remains on the #GrabYourWallet list until products are fully phased out.
