The Tea Party News Network has another psychotic break with reality, applauding former Rudy Giuliani and Fox News host Greg Gutfeld for supposedly shutting down race baiters like President Obama and the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Both Obama and Sharpton have come under heat from conservatives the last few days in the wake of the shooting death of two NYPD police officers, most notably by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani who argued in a Sunday interview on Fox News that President Obama was to blame for telling everyone to “hate the police.”
According to Giuliani,
We’ve had four months of propaganda starting with the president that everybody should hate the police. The protests are being embraced, the protests are being encouraged. The protests, even the ones that don’t lead to violence, a lot of them lead to violence, all of them lead to a conclusion. The police are bad, the police are racist.
Giuliani also went on to criticize Obama, Eric Holder and Al Sharpton for creating “an atmosphere of severe, strong, anti-police hatred in certain communities,” adding “for that, they should be ashamed of themselves.”
The Tea Party News Network (TPNN) was quick to jump on the pro-Giuliani bus, reporting that “the former mayor was also quick to note that on his watch, he would never have allowed protesters to take over streets and assault police officers as the current mayor has allowed,” adding that
Giuliani is absolutely correct; while all speech is worthy of legal protection, we can certainly point fingers at those who work to enflame [sic] the masses with racial hatred and resentment towards the police as being partly responsible for helping to create an environment where these kinds of things happen.
TPNN was also quick to support Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, best known as a co-host/panelist on the Fox News political opinion discussion program The Five, for a series of hate-filled tweets he posted throughout the day on Saturday.
