Deepak Chopra – expert in the field of mind-body healing – says that Donald Trump is beyond hope, that America needs a woman president.
Deepak Chopra, a world-renowned speaker and author on the subject of alternative medicine, wants to teach world leaders to meditate and learn mindfulness. But some people just can’t be taught according to this noted expert in the field of mind-body healing.
Speaking to Conan O’Brien last December, Chopra went on to explain that he felt it was time for a woman president.
“We need to move from survival of the fittest to survival of the wisest,” Chopra explains. “And in general – As part of our evolution it was fine to have men leaders because they went out for the hunt, they learned how to kill. There are two mantras in their mind: ‘f*ck it or kill it.'”
After some laughter and cross talk, Chopra goes on to state that: “Women have a sense for beauty, intuition, nurturing, affection, tenderness, wisdom. It’s not like ‘how can I beat you and get the best for myself.’ I think the feminine archetype, whether it’s the mother or Athena – the wisdom, sexuality, beauty, healer – these are very much needed in our society today.”

CONAN: I was reading recently that you have been meditating with members of Congress. I’ve tried it. I’m not good at it, but you really have to commit to quieting your mind, being honest with yourself. Do you think, just knowing what you know – what any of us know about Donald Trump – would he be someone who could benefit from meditation?
DEEPAK: Some people are beyond hope. [laughter] If you have a normal nervous system you can. Anyone can. But
CONAN: It’s funny you say that, and it got a huge laugh but I think you are right. I don’t think he has the kind of mind that can sit down and be –
DEEPAK: The kind of mind?
CO-HOST ANDY RICHTER: I can see him: “I’m focusing on my breathing. It’s world class breathing – the best breathing anyone’s every done.”
DEEPAK: When you say ‘the kind of mind,’ you are assuming that there is a mind.
CONAN: Yes, yes – so you’re a fan is what you’re saying. “Trump 2016” is your mantra.
DEEPAK: You have to be a fanatic to be a fan.
CONAN: You also have said you believe it is time for a female president, and just taking Hillary Clinton out of the equation or Carly Fiorina – why do you think a female should be president right now? Do they have special qualities that we need at this moment?
