Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin, who blew his chances at being elected last year by making controversial remarks about rape, was used last night in a plot line for “Law & Order: SVU.”
The episode was entitled “Legitimate Rape” and as you can see in the promo below, started with the words: “ripped from the headlines, words that set off a national controversy.”
It seems that art does imitate life, even on television.
