Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) admitted this weekend that there is no evidence linking President Obama or the White House to the targeting of Tea Party organizations by the IRS.
Appearing on Sunday’s Meet The Press on NBC, McConell was pressed by host David Gregory on the matter:
“Do you have any evidence that the President of the United States directed what you call a culture of intimidation at the IRS to target political opponents?”
To which McConnell replied:
“I don’t think we know what the facts are.”
McConnell tried his best to muddy the waters by claiming that there is an atmosphere of intimidation throughout the Obama administration, but clearly failed to convince Gregory.
