Bill Gates as Austin Powers

A video of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and C.E.O. Steve Ballmer spoofing Austin Powers is making the social media rounds.

This short produced by James Etue back in 2009 stars Ballmer as Doctor Evil and Gates as Austin Powers. The two made other pop-culture spoofs, including parodies of Night at the Roxbury and The Matrix.

Micrsoft also has aired spoofs for trade conventions and new product announcements such as The DaVinci Code, used to launch Small Business Server 2003 R2.

Microsoft spoof of “The Davinci Code” – DaSBS Code

A funny spoof of The DaVinci Code created by Microsoft. This video was used to launch Small Business Server 2003 R2. Directed by Jane Selle Morgan.

Microsoft Matrix Spoof:

In a promotional video clip Microsoft rolled out on the opening night of the 2003 Comdex information technology trade show in Las Vegas, Gates and Chief Executive Steve Ballmer appear in a spoof of the blockbuster science-fiction franchise.

The video clip was taken with a digital camera. This is only the first half of the video, showing Steve-O and the “agents”. I have been searching for the full version for years now, but it doesn’t seem to exist.
