An undercover New York Police Department officer has been arrested in the now infamous road rage assault between a group of bikers and a family in a Range Rover.
The off-duty NYPD officer does not appear in the video that has been going viral on the internet, but is seen in a different video pounding the SUV involved in the altercation with a group of motorcyclists.
The officer, a 10-year veteran, has been publicly identified as Wojciech Braszczok, 32. He has surrendered his badge and gun and is facing a minimum 30-day suspension as reported by The New York Post.
The Post went on to report that Braszczok
“was arrested Tuesday for terrorizing the Manhattan family by smashing out their SUV’s rear window during a horrifying biker gang beatdown off the West Side Highway, authorities said.”
