William A. Richardson II, volunteer youth minister and choir director for the First Baptist Church of Mango, Florida, was arrested and accused of sexually battering a 9-year-old girl during Sunday school at the church.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release on Thursday, October 31, 2013:
Hillsborough County – On October 22, 2013 HCSO was first notified of this incident and immediately launched an investigation. As a result, detectives have determined the following set of circumstances;
Between 2010 and October 2013, William Richardson sexually molested a female juvenile on at least one occasion while she was between the ages of 9-10 years old. At 11 years old, Richardson on at least one occasion sexually battered her.
These incidents reportedly occurred during Sunday school service at the First Baptist Church of Mango at 11619 E. Dr. MLK Blvd in Seffner where Richardson is the Assistant Youth Ministries/Choir Director.
At this time, detectives are unaware of any additional victims, however they are asking for anyone who may have been victimized by Richardson or has additional knowledge on this incident to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
Richardson was arrested at his home without incident and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
