Pope Francis, famous for picking up the phone and cold-calling Catholics out of the blue, telephoned an order of nuns in a convent in Spain to wish them a happy new year.
There was no answer, and the apparently frustrated Pontiff left a voice mail.
“What are the nuns doing that they can’t answer? I am Pope Francis, I wish to greet you in this end of the year, I will see if I can call you later. May God bless you!”
