A disabled veteran is speaking out after being attacked by a mob of teens on a bus in Cleveland.
According to 19 Action News, the veteran, Matthew Robinson, wants his story to be a warning to everyone living, or venturing downtown.
“Your mother or sister could be on the bus, and the same thing could happen to them,” said Mr. Robinson.
Robinson told 19 Action News that he was riding a bus “when six to eight teenagers surrounded him on the bus, and then started following him. Then, he said they attacked, took his stuff, and videotaped what they were doing.”
Cleveland police officers on the scene quickly apprehended three suspects found fleeing the scene, two boys aged 18 and 19 along with a “16 year-old-girl who had the video on her phone.”
There is a growing trend of violence in the city and this attack is “evidence of more violent teens running around the heart of downtown Cleveland.” It seems that violent mobs of teens has become a problem in the city’s Public Square, that “Last month a teen was brutally beaten on the square, and at times the power of a massive police presence was needed to take back the square.”
