Texas Republicans and Democrats picked their candidates for this November’s gubernatorial election. Democrats nominated State Senator Wendy Davis, while Republicans picked Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.
Wendy Davis easily secured her parties nomination Tuesday night with Abbot comfortably winning the Republican contest, hoping to replace Gov. Rick Perry who is stepping down after serving as governor for 14 years.
