Former television judge Joe Brown found himself on the other side of the law after being jailed by a real judge after a courtroom argument.
CNN reports that Brown was jailed by a Tennessee juvenile division judge on a contempt of court charge.
Brown, 66, was sentenced to five days in jail after he became “pretty raucous” and “challenged the authority” of Magistrate Harold Horne, another judge told CNN. He was later released on his own recognizance, CNN Memphis affiliate WMC-TV reported, citing the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Horne, known for being “a real laid-back guy” reportedly gave Brown several opportunities to calm down, eventually ordering his arrest after holding him in contempt five times.
