A family wants justice after a tragic vigilante attack in Detroit.
Steve Utash, 54, accidentally struck a 10-year-old boy with his company pickup on Wednesday and was viciously attacked by a mob of at least a dozen people after stopping to render aid to the child.
The child’s injuries were not life-threatening, but Utash has been in a medically induced coma since the attack, suffering from a swollen brain and laceration on his head.
The Mail reports that Two Detroit teenagers were arrested Saturday, but that charges would not be filed until police conclude the investigation.
Investigators believe the 17-year-old and 16-year-old males had a direct role in the beating of Steve Utash, said Sgt. Mike Woody, a Detroit police spokesman.
