Muslim Marine blasts Donald Trump over his bigoted comments about Muslims.

The internet exploded this week after an ex-Marine called out Donald Trump for his racist comments about Muslims in the wake of the deadly attacks in Paris last week.

Trump, the Republican front-runner, stated earlier this week that he wouldn’t rule out the idea of creating a national database and I.D. cards for Muslims in the United States. “We’re going to have to do thing that we never did before,” he said during an interview with Yahoo News.

“And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling security is going to rule,” he said, adding: “certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy.”

Tayyib M. Rashid, who served in the U.S. Marine Corp for five years from 1997-2002, Tweeted a photo of his military identification card along with a question for the Republican presidential hopeful, writing: “Hey @realDonaldTrump, I’m an American Muslim and I already carry a special ID badge. Where’s yours?”

Rashid, who goes by the Twitter name @MuslimMarine, noted in a subsequent tweet that: “Once a marine always a marine.”
