Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor under the Clinton administration and current Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, explains why Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is more dangerous than his rival Donald Trump.
As Reich puts it, “both men would be disasters for America, but Ted Cruz would be the larger disaster.”
Reich breaks up Cruz’s dangers into four areas:
- Cruz is more fanatical;
- Cruz is a true believer;
- Cruz is more disciplined and strategic;
- Cruz is a loner who’s willing to destroy government institutions to get his way.
