The internet exploded after an opera singer covered AC/DC’s rock anthem Highway To Hell.
An opera singers stunned judges on Spain’s Got Talent and, as Hello Giggles reports, the internet is losing it over her cover.
“You may not have heard of Cristina Ramos, but she’s a contestant on Spain’s Got Talent and she has basically owned the Internet this week. Cristina’s recent showstopper kicked off with a flawless operatic performance of a classical aria, but the judges were clearly confused as that style just doesn’t fit the pop-oriented show. And then suddenly—everything changed. Cristina ripped off her dress to reveal tight pants, and started belting out a truly rocking rendition of ‘Highway to Hell.'”
Loudwire reports that “with an aggressive vocal take,” Ramos took “complete ownership” of the song, unleashing “a glass-shattering wail that ranks up there with the finest Rob Halford screams.”
One of the judges, clearly elated by her performance, pressed his “golden buzzer,” which means that Ramos will bypass the next round of the audition and is headed to the live rounds of competition.
The immediate future of AC/CD remains uncertain at the moment. The Daily Mail reports, “AC/DC singer Brian Johnson was recently ordered by doctors to cease the Rock or Bust tour immediately or risk hearing loss.”
