Henry Rollins - A Tribute To An Irreverent Renaissance Man (VIDEOS)

If you are not aware of Henry Rollins, these videos are a perfect way to become introduced. He’s an outspoken activist who laughs at political correctness. He dares you to think beyond your comfort zone and will make you laugh with his irreverent style. He’s intense, eloquent, poetic, rude and abrasive – in a good way. He may not be for everyone, but he speaks truth and from his heart. Those who love him, love him because of these qualities.

He’s an author, speaker and an activist and he hosts a radio program. Listing his resume of accomplishments would take me all day, so this is just a small collection of cool Henry videos.

This is a perfect introduction to the former Black Flag lead man. In the video, he describes how he caught a break and was offered the chance to be the lead singer in a popular punk rock band while he was a young man working at a Häagen-Dazs in Washington D.C..

Nothing compares to his open letter to Ann Coulter. It’s profane, twisted and utterly delicious.

In this video, he shares his take on “The Gay.”

Henry takes on creationism in this short clip.

This is a 45 minute program titled “Born To Rage.” It’s a fascinating documentary about how certain men are in gangs or have violent tendencies because they were born with what is called the warrior gene. Peter Coyote narrates it (I guess Morgan Freeman was busy). I stumbled across this one Saturday morning and it sucked me in. Very interesting. You may have to sign into YouTube because there is a warning for mature content.
