Conservative Women Are Falsely Claiming Contraception Cause Abortions (VIDEO)

1452454_450950611675480_125544112_nAfter the Supreme Court announced that corporations have the right to deny employees medications that go against their religious beliefs – even if what they “believe” isn’t AT ALL TRUE – it was no shock that conservatives jumped for joy, as if this is some sort of liberal v. conservative contest.

One of the reasons conservatives are so excited is because they have been pushing the narrative that liberal women want to the government to pay for their #whorepills. Truth has no meaning to these people. They choose to bury their collective heads in a heap of lies so they can justify their hatred and fear – all the while, they have no clue that the right-wing lie machine, FOX “News” and websites like Breitbart and the Drudge Report have been brainwashing them for years.

What’s even more troubling is that in an effort to continue this narrative and to keep people misinformed and angry, conservative women are either flat out lying on purpose, or they genuinely do not understand what an abortifacient is.

Dictionary.com’s definition of Abortifacient:

1. causing abortion

2. a drug or device used to cause abortion

Chicks On the Right penned an article titled “Liberals Continue To Spew Lies About SCOTUS’ Hobby Lobby Decision

In their post, they say:

“There are only four abortifacients that aren’t going to be covered by Hobby Lobby now.  That’s it.  Here they are:

Plan B (“The Morning After Pill”)

Ella (a similar type of “emergency contraception”)

Copper Intra-Uterine Device

IUD with progestin

The chicks who want those abortifacients?  Well, go out to AMAZON.COM and freaking BUY THEM, ladies.  Go to a bazillion other places where they’re sold and freaking BUY THEM.  It’s as simple as that.

Oh my God.”

Let’s look at some facts:

Plan B  (“The Morning After Pill”) Not abortifacient . It prevents pregnancy.

Ella (a similar type of “emergency contraception”) Not abortifacient . It prevents pregnancy.

Copper Intra-Uterine Device Not an abortifacient. It prevents pregnancy.

IUD with progestin  Not an abortifacient. It prevents pregnancy.

Are we clear here?  Hobby Lobby talking heads are choosing to “believe” that these forms of birth control induce or cause abortions. THEY. DO. NOT. You can “believe” that the earth is flat but that doesn’t make it so.

It is no surprise that FOX’s Megyn Kelly is jumping on board the “birth control is an abortifacient” bandwagon. She and Bill O’Reilly have a discussion where they both promote this false narrative as if the American people are too stupid to check a dictionary.

There are so many things wrong with the SCOTUS decision and to make matters worse, they quickly expanded on the decision. Read more about that HERE. But why would conservative women – who also take and need birth control for a variety of reasons – lie about it?

It is an individual choice to agree or disagree with the Supreme Court ruling,  but if you are expecting anyone to take you seriously as a journalist, blogger or a human being, truth must be a part of your message.

Women on the right – why are you promoting lies? Why are you being hypocrites? What are you gaining from this? Page views and ratings?
