“Today CODEPINK attended a Congressional event in Washington D.C. about national defense where Senator Tom Cotton was the keynote speaker. Dressed as Colonial Revolutionaries and carrying Constitutions, CODEPINK disrupted Senator Cotton’s speech with an open letter to him signed by over 5,000 Americans. The letter is a response to Cotton’s open letter to the government of Iran that purports to school Iranians on the US Constitution but is really designed to quash the nuclear talks. After being escorted out of Cotton’s talk, CODEPINK went to his office and delivered the 5,000 signatures. CODEPINK also confronted the Senator himself before his speech, and later after his speech in the hallway outside of his office, telling him to stop sabotaging nuclear talks with Iran,” CODEPINK’s National Coordinator, Alli MacCracken, told Liberals Unite.
