Fox & Friends’ “Medical A-Team” contributor Dr. Keith Ablow believes the gender equality movement and co-ed sports are making it okay for men to hit women.
After showing surveillance video depicting then Florida State University quarterback De’Andre Johnson punching a female student in the face at a bar, Ablow and the panel discussed Johnson’s dismissal from the team.
In typical Fox fashion, the conversation was filled with twisted definitions of gender equality and the tired talking points that liberals/feminists are under the false impression that equal rights means men and woman have no differences. Ablow noted that while he doesn’t personally believe men should hit women, “that may be an antiquated notion if you look at our culture, which has just in a wholesale way dispensed with all gender quote-unquote stereotypes.”
Ablow attempted to tie co-ed sports and a culture that tries to “dispense with the idea of gender differences” to a culture where it’s okay for a man to punch a woman. He said if men are accustomed to competing against women in wrestling matches, then “when you’re in a bar and she slaps you, you punch her in the face.”
He continued, “Listen if you’re saying that it’s just fine to flip a girl onto her back in a wrestling match, and pin her to the ground and take some joy in that — well then I guess if you’re in a bar and she slaps you, you punch her in the face. Not in Ablow’s world, because you’d never be wrestling her to begin with.”
Equality in the eyes of the law is not some free pass to abuse women or a men – in fact it’s the very opposite. Why does this need to be said over and over and over and over? Because the liars at Fox “News” continue to spew their hateful propaganda and their fearful fans lap it up.
Here’s my takeaway – all the conservabots are scrambling like cockroaches in a dirty kitchen when the light is turned on. They are panicking because there IS a growing movement to enshrine the Equal Rights Amendment into the Constitution and it freaks them out. Because they want their country back – the country where women had no rights and men called all the shots.
“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”
The times they are a changing…..
