Capitol Police dragged disabled Trumpcare protesters away from Mitch McConnell’s office as they chanted “No cuts to Medicaid.”
Soon after Senate Republicans released the details of their healthcare bill, demonstrators gathered outside of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office (R-KY) to stage a “die-in” protest.
Pictures on social media show some of the protesters were in wheelchairs or wearing medical devices, and they were dragged off by Capitol Police.
According to the Washington Post, approximately 60 protesters chanted “No cuts to Medicaid — save our liberty.”
A horrific metaphor for Trumpcare: this disabled woman literally being ripped from her wheelchair. #StopTrumpcare pic.twitter.com/F5kmz8rnCv
