House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) confirmed Wednesday that he will sue the Obama Administration for its use of executive actions. Boehner and other Republicans are arguing that President Obama is pushing through initiatives without congressional approval.
When questioned whether or not this lawsuit will lead to impeachment, Boehner answered, “This is not about impeachment. This is about faithfully executing the laws of our country.”
At a weekly Capitol Hill briefing, Boehner would not share which executive actions he intends to challenge but told reporters “When I make that decision, I’ll let you know,” Boehner said, and added, “When there is conflicts like this between the legislative and administrative branch, it’s our responsibility to stand up.
“We’ve seen clearly an effort to erode power of the legislative branch.”
One recent executive order signed by Obama granted benefits to members of the LGBT community who work for the federal government.
Once again, Republicans are displaying their ability to deny historical FACTS because they are too busy stomping their angry feet over the black president’s ability to show empathy and compassion to humanity – something they sorely lack.
I will remind the GOP once again that President Obama has signed 168 executive orders according to The American Presidency Project.
George W. Bush signed 291 and Republican Saint Ronald Reagan signed 381.
Where was the outrage? Oh, wait, those fascists Republicans were white and wealthy. That makes it okay.
