Todd Akin (R-MO) is legitimately obsessed with rape.
He is unable to stop talking about rape – the very subject that lost him the election in 2012. And now he is suggesting that President Bill Clinton is a rapist.
After losing the senate race to Claire MCCaskill (D-MO), he wrote the book Firing Back: Taking on the Party Bosses and Media Elite to Protect Our Faith and Freedom
He has rescinded his apology for saying “It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”
“By asking the public at large for forgiveness, I was validating the willful misinterpretation of what I had said,” Akin writes, according to an early review from the Washington Post.
He whined that his legitimate rape comment was taken out of context and as a result, he was assassinated by the liberal media – just like the lunatic Sen. Joe McCarthy.
He recently claimed that a number of people who worked on his Senate campaign “had been conceived in rape.”
In an appearance on MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown, Aiken insisted that “legitimate rape” is an official law enforcement term – though he doesn’t cite a source. And he said that Bill Clinton was accused of rape and “assault on women” but he was applauded when he delivered the 2012 keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention. “Seems to me, it’s a Democratic war on women,” Akin added.
