What do you think about Clinton-Clinton 2016 for the Democratic presidential ticket next year?
In a recent interview with EXTRA’s Mario Lopez, Hillary Clinton told Mario Lopez that she has given some thought to the idea but decided that he “not eligible,” unfortunately.
He would be good, but he’s not eligible; under the Constitution, he has served his two terms and I think the argument would be as Vice President it would not be possible for him to ever succeed to the position — at least that’s what I’ve been told… It has crossed my mind.
Democratic front-runner also spoke of Donald Trump’s rise in popularity, telling Lopez that she has watched his rise in the polls “with some concern” because of his use of “inflammatory and destructive” rhetoric.
I am watching this with some concern because I think a lot of what he has said has been really inflammatory and destructive… He has not put forward any real policies… He has made a lot of claims, and I think it may reflect on the Republican side some of the pent-up frustration that they have… I’m going to let them deal with however they choose their nominee, but I am certainly looking forward, if he were the nominee, to debating him in the general election because there’s a lot to talk about starting with his really outrageous statements about immigration.
